About the Role

AgRecruit is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Horticultural Research Specialist to join our team as a Rose Breeding and Research Manager. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for leading the breeding and testing of new rose varieties, achieving the highest standards of rose health, beauty, and fragrance across our range of products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement breeding programs to improve the quality and quantity of our rose varieties.
  • Manage multiple trials to evaluate the effectiveness of different pruning regimes, sprays, and other factors on rose performance.
  • Research and implement genetic techniques to improve breeding and selection processes.
  • Collaborate with our Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement research strategies.
  • Manage and maintain accurate records of research data and results.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in a relevant field such as plant science, genetics, or horticulture.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in rose breeding and research.
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful breeding programs.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
