Job Summary:

The Worship Pastor - Music Minister will be responsible for developing and leading musical worship at New Wine Trust. This role requires a mature Christian with strong team skills, emotional intelligence, and a passion for musical worship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set the vision for sung worship on Sundays, paying attention to the words to be sung
  • Play a key role in the sung worship at every service, leading or supporting those who will
  • Ensure band rotas for every service are produced in a timely manner
  • Take a lead in providing a strong contemporary presence at major festivals
  • Develop the contemporary feel of the evening service
  • Discover and arrange suitable new songs for worship
  • Recruit, train, and develop musicians and worship leaders from within the congregation
  • Host team meetings for musicians to encourage a biblical vision for worship
  • Participate in service planning meetings and communicate outcomes to worship leaders
  • Oversee the care and maintenance of musical equipment
  • Assist the production manager with setup of musical equipment

Requirements:

  • An allocated budget to develop ministries
  • An office at the church with secure storage for instruments
  • The support of regular Heads of Ministry Meetings and other relevant pastoral meetings
  • Regular time with the line manager, the Vicar
  • Opportunities for further training and development

Safeguarding:
