About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer to join our Digital Factory team at AXA Group. As a key member of our delivery team, you will be responsible for leading the delivery of complex business solutions across multiple squads and teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitate cross-domain ceremonies and synchronization events across teams to ensure alignment and coordination.
  • Establish and communicate the Program Increment (PI) cadence and calendar of events, and ensure reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) on delivery and products.
  • Develop and maintain the roadmap of products and services, and ensure alignment with high-level organizational goals and objectives.
  • Manage and report on budget and resource allocation and utilization, and hold suppliers accountable for performance against Service Levels.
  • Drive improvements in ways of working through periodic synchronization events and ensure cross-stream alignment and progress.
  • Coach leaders, teams, and Scrum Masters in agile practices at scale, and oversee technical leads, developers, business analysts, and Scrum Masters within the delivery function.
  • Support the resolution of escalated risks and issues as part of service Agile delivery, and develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders and suppliers.
  • Produce high-level estimates as needed, and protect and maintain AXA XL's Intellectual Property.
  • Ensure all processes are documented and maintained, and develop change management strategies and approaches.
  • Provide audit support for internal and external assessments, and articulate policies and standards as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Expert-level experience in planning and executing complex, large-scale initiatives or operational areas.
  • Experience in working in scaled agile initiatives, Scrum mastery, coaching, and complex deliveries.
  • Significant leadership experience in insurance and IT, with experience working with Salesforce platforms (Financial Service Cloud preferred).
  • Knowledge of CRM implementation is a plus, and expertise in agile methodology and ways of working.
  • Significant experience working in a global and matrix environment, with effective communication among squads to coordinate planning quarterly.
  • Great leadership skills, with the ability to develop squads and drive relentless improvement, and create an environment of mutual influence and support.
  • Ability to think beyond day-to-day activities, apply systems thinking, and manage budget, supply, and resource allocation and utilization.
  • Hold suppliers accountable for performance against Service Levels, and drive measurable improvements in service delivery over time.
  • High customer confidence in delivery capability, risk identification and mitigation, and knowledge management strategy for process, training, and applications.
  • Proven planning and organization skills, creating own work schedules, prioritizing workload, preparing in advance, and setting realistic timescales.
  • Adaptable to new/different strategies, programs, technologies, practices, cultures, etc., and comfortable with change, able to easily make transitions.
