Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at The Avalon Group. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with disabilities or additional needs to live their lives to the fullest.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide person-centered support to individuals with disabilities or additional needs, promoting their independence and well-being.
- Assist with daily living skills, such as personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks.
- Accompany individuals to appointments, social events, and activities, promoting social inclusion and community engagement.
- Support individuals in finding and maintaining employment, education, or training opportunities.
- Collaborate with other professionals, such as healthcare providers and social workers, to ensure comprehensive support.
Requirements
- Hold a valid UK driver's license and have access to a reliable vehicle.
- Be able to work every other weekend, as required.
- Have a strong commitment to supporting individuals with disabilities or additional needs.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
