Job Title: Children and Young People Officer

About the Role:

The Independent Living Officer will work in a variety of settings, including our Head Office, Independent/Extra Care Living schemes, community facilities, and customers' homes. The role supports a holistic approach to independent living, working closely with customers to ensure they have the best quality of life and are able to stay in their homes for as long as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivering housing management support functions to older people in Independent Living properties and CGA homes.
  • Providing an emergency response service to customers during weekdays, working a rota system, with occasional weekend work required to support community events.
  • Experience of working within a housing or support environment, with older or vulnerable people, and supporting people with complex needs, including mental ill health, substance dependency, and dementia.
  • Dealing with challenging behaviour and having a driving licence and access to a car for business use.
