An exciting opportunity has arisen for a part-time candidate to join our well-respected ENT Department at Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells Hospital as a Patient Pathway Navigator for patients sent directly to testing.
Main DutiesYou will be responsible for verifying patient outcomes after clinic appointments and facilitating the booking of necessary tests within specified timeframes.
You will serve as the primary point of contact for patients' next steps in their treatment pathways following an appointment or scan.
You will collaborate with the clinical team and internal departments to ensure a seamless transition for patients throughout their care journey.

Person SpecificationQualifications
- Good standard of general education to GCSE standard, English & Maths or equivalent
- Educated to A-level, or Business Administration/Customer Care or acquired equivalent experience
Experience
- Experience of using full range of IT systems and patient data systems
- Experience of using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Experience of scheduling outpatient appointments and/or admissions
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team
- Experience of working in a healthcare setting
- Customer Care experience
- Experience of handling patient enquires/complaints
Skills
- Accurate data entry, typing and checking skills
- Ability to produce letters / reports using Word and Excel
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels
- Ability to use own judgement to resolve problems and queries competently, including those of a sensitive and confidential nature
- Manage and interpret data correctly to inform decision making
- Ability to initiate & co-ordinate change to own working practices
