Job Overview

We are seeking experienced Consultants in Emergency Medicine to join our dedicated team within the Emergency Departments. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the transformation of our workforce and enhance patient care.

We provide our consultants with the flexibility of a 10 or 12 PA job plan (or 9DCC/3SPA), featuring a customizable shift schedule between 08:00 - 22:00 on weekdays and 8 hours on weekends. We are committed to accommodating individual preferences, including fixed weekdays off or part-time roles when feasible.

Key Responsibilities

A new medical school has been established in the region, providing 100 training opportunities annually. We are collaborating closely with academic institutions and other healthcare providers to support this initiative and encourage applications from those interested in combined academic and clinical roles. We are also dedicated to fostering the professional and academic growth of our consultants, offering support for postgraduate qualifications such as MBA or MSc, as well as opportunities for academic research.

Our team of emergency medicine consultants is bolstered by a robust EM workforce, including 25 Middle Grade/Speciality Doctors, along with higher trainees and ACCS posts. We are committed to the development of our junior staff by providing special interest positions, a CESR completion pathway, and support for trainee Advanced Clinical Practitioners.

Required Qualifications

Essential Skills

  • Full GMC Registration
  • FRCEM or equivalent
  • CCT/CESR Specialist Registration or expected within 6 months of interview
