Software Lab Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled Software Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining the IT infrastructure for development, testing, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage the physical IT infrastructure of our Systems lab, including networking, machine setup, and configuration.
  2. Extend the Systems Lab with new HW platforms under test.
  3. Collaborate with our IT professionals to enable correct access to our Systems lab.
  4. Perform initial testing of new software features as part of our regular release flow.
  5. Assist in the automation of our software product.
  6. Identify early customer-facing issues, help with the analysis and debugging, and work closely with developers to facilitate their resolution.
  7. Stay current with industry best practices and emerging trends in software engineering and software quality assurance.
  8. Assist engineers and multi-functional teams in lab setup and planning based on given space, power, and cooling capabilities.
  9. Manage and maintain sufficient inventory of key equipment, including cables, connectors, and adapters.
  10. Occasionally assist development teams with manual testing as needed.
Requirements:
  1. Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  2. Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing, with a deep understanding of technical areas.
  3. Basic knowledge of Python.
  4. Highly preferred: understanding of testing frameworks like pytest and testing flows.
  5. Proven experience in software quality assurance and testing.
  6. Experience with troubleshooting computer and computer network related issues.
  7. Familiarity with Linux.
  8. Familiarity with key networking concepts and configurations.
