Job Title: Asset Manager

Job Summary:

The Salvation Army UK and Ireland Territory is seeking an experienced Asset Manager to join our Property Team. As an Asset Manager, you will be responsible for the management of our regional property portfolio, working closely with the Head of Corporate Real Estate and Estates Manager to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Asset Valuation and Management: You will have a practical knowledge and experience of preparing asset valuations, advising on property matters, and managing a diverse property portfolio with over 3,000 assets.
  • Disposal and Acquisition: You will work on bringing forward disposal programmes of surplus assets and acquiring assets to support the delivery of our mission.
  • Portfolio Optimization: You will actively asset manage the Territorial Salvation Army portfolio to ensure it is fit for purpose.
  • Reporting and Communication: You will provide regular reports to stakeholders and communicate effectively with colleagues across the organization.
  • Team Collaboration: You will work as part of a team, supported to develop your professional skills and experience, as well as your own personal development through training opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: A qualification at degree level and ideally membership of an appropriate professional organization such as the RICS.
  • Experience: Widespread asset management and transactional experience across a variety of asset classes.
  • Legislation: A good understanding of Landlord and Tenant legislation.
  • Culture: A proven track record in promoting a culture of transformation within a CRE Function.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to handle large and varied workloads, customer-facing skills, and experience with databases for property management purposes.
  • Decision-Making: Ability to make effective decisions, collaborate, and partner with colleagues across the organization.
  • Reporting: Experience of preparing clear board reports.
  • Driving License: A current driving license will be essential.
