We are seeking a motivated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at The Rubicon Centre. As a Higher Level Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and development of our students, particularly those with challenging needs.
Key Responsibilities- Support the delivery of the curriculum, including taking responsibility for small groups and adapting learning to meet the needs of individual students.
- Develop positive relationships with pupils to assist pupil progress and attainment.
- Work effectively as part of a team to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Support the pastoral needs of students, including acting as a pastoral tutor in a key stage or year group as required.
- Have a caring and nurturing approach, with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work under pressure.
- Be flexible and patient, with a commitment to using initiative to support the needs of the students and the school.
- Have a good knowledge of strategies for supporting an ethos of positive behaviour management.
- Experience of and a sound understanding of how assessment is used to support learning.
- GCSE Mathematics and English.
- Proven classroom ability and practice.
- Experience of working with students with challenging behaviour.
- Ability to support KS3 and KS4 pupils up to GCSE standard.
