Position Overview

Are you an experienced Commercial Manager seeking a new opportunity? Round Peg Solutions is looking for a Lead Commercial Strategist to join our team during a pivotal growth phase. This role will involve overseeing the commercial operations within a designated market area, focusing on key client relationships and strategic initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Relationship Management: Develop and sustain strong, mutually beneficial partnerships with clients, collaborating with internal teams to enhance service delivery.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise and mentor direct reports, including recruitment, performance evaluation, and professional development.
  • Agent Oversight: Manage agent performance, ensuring timely reporting and compensation across the assigned region.
  • Business Development: Structure and negotiate new business agreements, leading complex proposals and ensuring alignment with client expectations.
  • Contract Oversight: Monitor and ensure compliance with contractual obligations, facilitating successful project execution.
  • Contract Negotiation: Engage in discussions to amend contracts, ensuring adherence to agreed terms and conditions.
  • Dispute Resolution: Provide guidance on contractual commitments, ensuring compliance with schedules and obligations.
  • Policy Compliance: Advocate for adherence to company policies and standards, leading by example.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a Commercial role, particularly within the aerospace, defense, or military sectors.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate in international markets, particularly in Asia and the Far East.
  • Strong skills in account management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Experience with deal structures and contract management, including terms and conditions.
  • Solid understanding of pricing strategies and models, including support frameworks.
  • Adept at assessing the financial implications of negotiated terms on profitability and risk.
  • Familiarity with financial instruments such as Letters of Credit and Performance Guarantees.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for business purposes.
  • A degree or equivalent professional experience.
