Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior Site Engineer to become a vital part of our utilities division at Kier, focusing on projects within the water sector.

Permanent, Full Time – flexible and part-time options may be available upon request.

Core Responsibilities
As a Senior Site Engineer, you will oversee the workforce at the wastewater treatment facilities. Your role will involve managing capital projects aimed at enhancing and upgrading wastewater treatment operations.

Your daily tasks will include:
  • Conducting Inspection Test Plans (ITPs) and addressing technical inquiries, while also preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) and supporting short-term work schedules.
  • Raising Technical Queries (TQs) regarding proposed designs and ensuring compliance with quality control standards as per specifications.
  • Upholding and promoting a high standard of health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Ensuring that all materials and work performed meet specifications, while collaborating with the project planner and Project Manager.
  • Planning and procuring equipment and materials necessary for site setup and throughout the project lifecycle.

Candidate Profile
We are looking for a candidate who possesses:
  • A Civil Engineering HND/Degree or equivalent experience in a main contractor civil engineering setting.
  • Familiarity with contract conditions, CDM regulations, design management, program and risk management, as well as cost control including forecasting and value reporting.
  • Experience in developing, reviewing, and implementing Safe Systems of Work for specific tasks.
  • A valid CSCS Card.
