We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist to join our high-performing team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving maximum return for Ebit and its clients by creating, owning, managing, and delivering end-to-end procurement activity identified through a project pipeline of activity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Procurement Activity Management
    • Lead, manage, and run procurement activity in all spend categories end-to-end on behalf of Ebit and the client to a high standard, ensuring collaboration with internal stakeholders.
    • Prepare activity, conduct research and analysis, define approach, facilitate the development of specifications, prepare tender documentation, run tender process, evaluate responses, negotiate, draft and review contract documents and service levels, support implementation, conduct reviews, and manage suppliers.
  • Stakeholder Relationship Management
    • Manage and maintain stakeholder relationships to ensure client satisfaction, including arranging meetings, updates, presentations, reporting, and communicating progress as appropriate.
  • Business Understanding and Project Development
    • Meet key business stakeholders, conduct research, ask relevant questions, gather information to gain an understanding of business/spend categories and the supply base.
    • Develop and maintain a pipeline of procurement projects that reflects client and Ebit objectives, ensuring as much opportunity is identified and driven as possible, and reviewing them constantly.
  • Progress Communication and Reporting
    • Proactively update and communicate activity progress, including completion of Ebit/client project trackers and savings reports, relevant presentations, and provide information as required to line management.
  • Savings and Benefits Delivery
    • Maximize savings/benefits delivered for the client, working at an appropriate pace while ensuring quality solutions that drive business improvement, maintaining client satisfaction to a high standard.
    • Deliver acceptable return on investment for clients, achieving this as quickly as possible, and nurturing client relationships to maximize the length of relationship Ebit has with each client.
  • Client and Ebit Best Interests
    • Always work and ensure work is carried out in Ebit's and the clients' best interests, ensuring a high and consistent quality of output.
    • Promote the benefits of Ebit to the client, ensuring protection of Ebit's market intelligence, and upselling other services where appropriate.
  • Client and Ebit Objectives
    • Develop a clear understanding of client and Ebit objectives for procurement project(s) and service levels, ensuring this translates into tasks, focus, prioritization, action plans, and output.
  • Client and Ebit Business Understanding
    • Develop an understanding of client and Ebit business, strategy, forward focus, and ways of working through background research, information gathering, questioning, and meetings with stakeholders.
  • Supplier and Client Communication
    • Aid communication between suppliers and clients to achieve mutual satisfaction.
Requirements

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Procurement Specialist with the following qualifications and experience:

  • A minimum of 8 years' experience in senior procurement/commercial roles.
  • Retail and/or manufacturing industry experience within a procurement role.
  • Strong relationship management, confident and credible at C-Level/board level and with senior stakeholders.
  • Highly organized and focused individual capable of prioritizing and re-prioritizing constantly.
  • Demonstrable experience of succeeding in an autonomous, self-sufficient role in which you were personally accountable for delivering targets, business improvement, and managing stakeholder relationships.
  • Commercially astute with a drive for delivery and achieving commercial results.
  • Demonstratable experience and knowledge of procurement best practice and the procurement process.
  • Solutions-focused with an ability to be flexible and deal effectively and appropriately with barriers, including getting the desired outcome while maintaining relationships.
  • Strong, persuasive, and effective communicator, targeting appropriately to the audience.
  • Naturally collaborates with and has appropriate gravitas with all stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills and someone who inspires stakeholders to work with them.
  • Relevant category experience and knowledge.
  • Desire to work at clients' sites.
