Job Title: Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Clinical, Forensic or Counselling Psychologist to join our team at Pennine Care NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Low Secure Services, you will be responsible for providing high-quality psychology input to our patients, who present with complex mental health problems.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide psychological assessment, formulation, and intervention to patients with complex mental health problems
  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement effective treatment plans
  • Provide clinical supervision to psychologists and other members of the team
  • Participate in service developments, quality improvement projects, and governance within the service
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of trauma-informed care approaches


Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Postgraduate doctoral level training in clinical psychology, forensic psychology, or counselling psychology
  • Current registration with the Health and Care Professions Council
  • Demonstrable experience of working with complex mental health problems, including psychosis, trauma, and substance misuse
  • Experience of clinical leadership and providing clinical supervision
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with computing technology and software
