Accounts Assistant Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our team at Antella Travel Recruitment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Purchase Ledger, covering critical parts of the Sales Ledger during peak times, and covering holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Validating direct cost invoices to ensure accuracy and investigating discrepancies with suppliers.
  • Managing the booking system accrual report to ensure timely refunds and zeroing of old accruals.
  • Processing overhead invoices and reconciling to supplier statements.
  • Raising supplier payments in accordance with validated invoices and credit terms.
  • Ensuring new bank accounts and changes to supplier bank accounts are legitimate.
  • Escalating 'problem' accounts to the Finance Manager as necessary.
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in purchase ledger management is essential.
  • Good attention to detail and experience managing supplier expectations.
  • Comfortable working independently and supporting team colleagues when needed.
  • Adaptable and flexible approach to work, prioritizing workloads under pressure.
  • Strong Excel, Outlook, and communication skills.
