East Dereham, Norfolk, United Kingdom Sense Full time

Seeking a fulfilling career?

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Care Assistant to become part of our compassionate and dedicated teams at our residential facility.

This position offers permanent roles with both part-time and full-time contracts available, accommodating up to 37.5 hours per week. We provide competitive compensation of £12.25 per hour, equating to £23,888 annually for full-time employees, along with an additional 20p per hour for weekend shifts.

Our team supports individuals with diverse needs, ensuring that each person receives personalized care tailored to their unique requirements, including complex communication challenges and physical health conditions.

Care is delivered around the clock, and we take pride in the variety of activities and wellness events we organize. You will have the opportunity to engage in offsite activities, day trips, and vacations. Examples of community engagement include horse riding, bowling, swimming, and music lessons. Your responsibilities will also encompass personal care, medication management, and limited manual handling as needed.

A valid manual UK driving license is essential, as you will be required to operate company vehicles to transport individuals to appointments and activities. We offer flexible shift patterns, typically from 7:00 am to 4:00 pm and 4:00 pm to 10:00 pm, with additional sleep-in shifts available as overtime, which will be discussed during the interview process.

No two days will be alike

At Sense, we empower individuals with complex disabilities to lead the lives they choose. Your primary focus will be on enabling those you support to achieve greater independence.

This role may involve assisting individuals with:

  • Daily living tasks such as cooking and cleaning.
  • Personal hygiene and care.
  • Financial management.
  • Medication and overall wellbeing.
  • Employment opportunities.
  • Community outings for shopping and leisure.
  • Social interactions and recreational activities.

Each person we support is unique, and their care plans reflect their individuality.
