Title: Aerospace Quality Assurance Specialist
Duration: 6 Months
Pay rate: $44.40/Hr on W2
Location: Remote

Shift: M-Th (5AM - 3:30PM)

  • Overtime Eligible. Identify quality issues and propose effective solutions. Calibrate, validate, or maintain testing equipment. Draft or update standard operating procedures for quality control. Assess analytical methods and procedures for potential enhancements. Conduct visual inspections of final products. Receive and evaluate incoming materials. Analyze test results, comparing them against established specifications and control limits, and make recommendations regarding data suitability for release. Supervise testing protocols to ensure compliance with defined specifications and standard test methods. Provide essential quality control data for regulatory submissions. Complete necessary documentation to support testing processes, including data capture forms and equipment logbooks.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in dimensional inspection of aerospace components.
  • Exceptional blueprint reading abilities.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proficient in the use of precision hand tools, gauges, optical comparators, and surface plate work.
  • Experience in inspecting high-value components with tight tolerances.
  • Familiarity with personal computer applications.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.

  • Excellent blueprint reading skills, including GD&T per ASME Y14.5M-2018 standards.

Skills/Experience/Education:

Mandatory Responsibilities:

  • Conduct daily part inspections utilizing advanced Hexagon Coordinate Measurement Machine (CMM) and PCDMIS software for programming and FAI data collection. In-depth knowledge of GD&T is essential. Perform manual inspections and understand nonconformance processes.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Polyworks and Spatial Analyzer, PC DMIS, NC on-machine inspection, Faro, and Verisurf.
  • Basic machining knowledge.
  • Experience operating heavy lifting equipment such as cranes and forklifts in critical environments.
  • Understanding of outside processing techniques (heat treat, plating, coating, EDM, grinding, etc.).
