An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Functional Safety Engineer. This role involves engaging in projects for OEM clients across various domains, including but not limited to Transmissions, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), Hybrid Vehicles, and Electrification, on a permanent basis in Coventry.

Job Description:

As a Functional Safety Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include:


Collaborating with System Engineers and fellow Functional Safety Engineers to execute Functional Safety tasks relevant to the project.

  • Comprehending the intended functionality of systems within a broad automotive framework.
  • Producing essential Functional Safety documentation for the project in accordance with ISO26262, including Fault-tree analysis, Hazard analysis, and technical safety concepts and requirements.

Qualifications / Skills Required:

  • A minimum of a BSc or BEng (2:1) in Automotive, Electrical, or a related Engineering discipline.
  • Relevant engineering experience, preferably in Systems or Safety Engineering.
  • Experience in supporting Functional Safety activities as per ISO26262 standards.
