Job Title: Freelance Site Manager

Our client, a leading Civil Engineering Main Contractor, is seeking an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join their dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering and be capable of delivering high-quality projects while managing a diverse range of challenges.

Scope of Works:

The Freelance Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency. This will include coordinating and managing subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel, as well as ensuring project milestones are met in line with the programme.

Duties:
  • Oversee day-to-day site operations, ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency
  • Coordinate and manage subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel
  • Ensure project milestones are met in line with programme
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and quality regulations
  • Report progress, budget, and any issues to the Project Manager and relevant stakeholders
  • Liaise with local residents and authorities to minimise disruption and manage expectations
  • Resolve any site issues promptly to keep the project on track
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a Site Manager on civils projects, preferably within the water sector
  • Strong knowledge of segmental shaft construction and open-cut sewer techniques
  • Excellent understanding of health and safety regulations and best practices
  • Ability to manage and motivate a diverse team of workers and subcontractors
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm under pressure
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships
