Role: Mental Health Practitioner within the Early Intervention Service

An exceptional opportunity exists for a Mental Health Practitioner to become part of the Early Intervention Service, focusing on individuals encountering their initial episode of psychosis.

We seek a dedicated, proactive, and passionate mental health professional to integrate into our collaborative, multi-disciplinary team. This role is suitable for a Registered Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, or Occupational Therapist with relevant expertise in this area.

The successful candidate will engage closely with clients referred to the service and their families, fostering hope and potential regarding their vocational and independent living capabilities. We value team-oriented individuals who appreciate the significance of their therapeutic contributions. Our collective aim is to enhance the quality of our Early Intervention Services across the region.

The post holder will serve as a care coordinator for a specified group of individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis, adhering to national early intervention standards.

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate care for service users aged 14-65 who are experiencing their first episode of psychosis, aligning with the service's policies and vision.

- Participate in a culture of learning, promoting social inclusion while enhancing the independence and autonomy of service users.

- Assume responsibility and accountability for personal practice, maintaining legal obligations to service users, colleagues, and the organization.

- Exhibit strong leadership capabilities.

- Expand knowledge of the early intervention service and engage in relevant training opportunities.

- Participate in the annual NCAP audit.

- Travel efficiently across a broad area to meet service demands.

- Contribute to and provide clinical supervision.
