About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Inspector to join our team at Prodrive, a leading independent motorsport company. As an Electrical Inspector, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our electrical assemblies.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain a comprehensive quality system for the electrical workshop, ensuring adherence to industry standards and company policies.
- Liaise with engineers and technicians to ensure workshop build standards and quality/drawing conformance of all assemblies prior to dispatch to customers.
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure all work is carried out to Prodrive standards and externally made components are fit for purpose.
- Develop and implement test programs using Cirris testing equipment.
- Build and maintain test leads and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
- Perform initial build checks, including pin retention, lengths, and labels.
- Conduct and document inspections during loom builds, ensuring all components meet quality standards.
- Perform final inspections on all assemblies prior to dispatch, ensuring they meet Prodrive's quality standards.
- Install configurations into components, ensuring accurate and efficient assembly.
- Collaborate with engineering and R&D teams to implement testing procedures and improve quality standards.
- Design, manufacture, and maintain equipment required to test all electrical assemblies, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a similar inspection role, with a strong understanding of electrical theory and electronic devices.
- Excellent knowledge of engineering drawings and schematics, with the ability to read and interpret complex diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
- Flexible approach to work, with the ability to work calmly under pressure.
- Previous experience within motorsport is preferred but not essential.
