Job Title: Principal Highways Design Engineer

Strata Construction Consulting is seeking a talented Principal Highways Design Engineer to play a key role in their growing traffic and transportation business.

About the Role

We are a multi-disciplinary consultancy delivering services across the UK within the construction, transportation, highways, and infrastructure sectors. Our team specializes in developing active travel, public realm, traffic, and transportation schemes and undertaking transport planning studies for public and private sector clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design highways using AutoCAD and experience in signal junction design
  • Collaborate with consultancies from other disciplines (e.g. urban design)
  • Project management and experience with Highway Authorities
  • Working knowledge of industry guidance – TSRGD, Manual for Streets, LTNs etc.
Requirements
  • A good standard relevant degree, or a post graduate qualification in transport or a suitable level of professional experience to demonstrate capability
  • A good skill level and experience designing highways using AutoCAD
  • Experience with other software packages such as: MS Office, GIS, Adobe Suite, Traffic sign design packages, Vehicle tracking and SketchUp
