We are seeking a Project Engineer to spearhead modification initiatives within our Boeing Global Services (BGS) EASA Modifications Integrated Project Team (IPT).

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our modification teams, which are responsible for developing, certifying, and integrating solutions for commercial aircraft modifications, including cabin interior upgrades and in-flight entertainment enhancements.

This position involves direct interaction with clients and collaboration with BGS global engineering and program management teams across various time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist technical teams in the design and certification processes for aircraft modifications.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for assigned modification projects.
  • Provide technical guidance to Project Managers overseeing modification projects.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, external vendors, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) facilities, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to devise engineering solutions that surpass client expectations, delivered on schedule and within budget.
  • Offer advice to ensure the development of safe, compliant, and practical solutions across all modification projects.
  • Identify significant technical risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Support project Integrated Technical Control Meetings (ITCM), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), and Critical Design Reviews (CDR).
  • Lead technical review discussions.
  • Provide updates on project status and health.
  • Assist functional engineering managers with resource planning and allocation.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • At least 5 years of experience in the aviation/aerospace industry or a related field.
  • Essential knowledge of commercial aircraft interiors.
  • Demonstrated understanding of EASA regulations and airworthiness standards, including (E)TSO, CS-25, and CFR Part 25 & Part 21J design organizations.
  • Ability to manage multiple programs with varying requirements efficiently.

Educational Background

  • A recognized degree in aeronautics or engineering; other internationally recognized aeronautical qualifications may be considered based on technical expertise and experience.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.

Work Authorization:

This position is intended for local hires in the UK or Ireland. Candidates must possess current legal authorization to work in the UK or Ireland. Boeing will not sponsor immigration or labor applications for any candidates.

Compensation and benefits are determined locally and are not part of Boeing's U.S.-based payroll. This position does not offer relocation assistance.
