We are seeking a Project Engineer to spearhead modification initiatives within our Boeing Global Services (BGS) EASA Modifications Integrated Project Team (IPT).

The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our modification teams, focusing on the development, certification, and integration of commercial aircraft modification solutions, including cabin interior enhancements and in-flight entertainment upgrades.

This position involves direct interaction with clients while collaborating with BGS global engineering and program management teams across various time zones.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist technical teams in designing and certifying aircraft modifications.
  • Act as the technical point of contact for assigned modification projects.
  • Provide technical guidance to Project Managers overseeing modification projects.
  • Collaborate closely with clients, external vendors, maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) providers, regulatory bodies, and internal teams to devise engineering solutions that surpass client expectations while adhering to timelines and budgets.
  • Offer insights to facilitate the development of safe, compliant, and practical solutions across all modification projects.
  • Identify significant technical risks and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Support project Integrated Technical Control Meetings (ITCM), Preliminary Design Reviews (PDR), and Critical Design Reviews (CDR).
  • Lead technical review sessions.
  • Provide updates on project status and health.
  • Assist functional engineering managers with resource planning and allocation.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the aviation/aerospace industry or a related field.
  • Essential knowledge of commercial aircraft interiors.
  • Demonstrated understanding of EASA regulatory and airworthiness standards, including (E)TSO, CS-25, and CFR Part 25 & Part 21J design organizations.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple programs with varying requirements.

Educational Background

  • A recognized degree in aeronautics or engineering; other internationally recognized aeronautical qualifications may be considered based on technical expertise and experience.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is mandatory.

Work Authorization:

This position is intended for local hires in the UK or Ireland. Candidates must possess current legal authorization to work in the UK or Ireland. Boeing will not seek immigration or labor sponsorship for applicants.
