Cancer Data Manager Job Description

At Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, we are seeking a highly skilled Cancer Data Manager to join our team. As a Cancer Data Manager, you will be responsible for leading on data submissions, data collection, and information relating to cancer patients within the Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Represent the Trust at local, network, and regional meetings when required.
  • Produce and submit cancer data monitoring reports in a timely manner.
  • Manage Cancer data, including data collection, data collation, and data uploads.
  • Ensure MDT Co-ordinators provide timely and accurate advice to the cancer clinical services to avert breaches of national cancer waiting times targets.
  • Monitor the performance of tumour sites against agreed waiting time targets for diagnosis and treatment of patients diagnosed with cancer.

Requirements:

  • Excellent data analytical skills.
  • Post-graduate qualification.
  • Experience of data analysis and information management.
  • Aware of Data Protection Act.
  • Understanding of national NHS policy and targets.

  • Flexible.
  • Accuracy in data input into databases and validation of information.
