Cancer Data Specialist

Lewisham and Greenwich NHS Trust, a community-focused provider of local and acute care, seeks a skilled Cancer Data Manager to lead on data submissions, collection, and information related to cancer patients within the Trust. The successful candidate will ensure that data collection mechanisms are robust and that the Trust meets all Cancer Waiting Times and cancer data submission targets.
Key Responsibilities:- Represent the Trust at local, network, and regional meetings when required.
- Produce and submit cancer data monitoring reports in a timely manner.
- Manage cancer data, including data collection, collation, and management of national cancer audits.
- Ensure timely and accurate data uploads to appropriate databases.
- Prepare routine reports using Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint in accordance with strict deadlines.
- Monitor performance of tumour sites against agreed waiting time targets.
- Excellent data analytical skills.
- Post-graduate qualification in a relevant field.
- Experience of data analysis and information management.
- Awareness of Data Protection Act.
- Understanding of national NHS policy and targets.
- Good interpersonal, oral, and written skills.
- Flexible.
- Accuracy in data input into databases and validation of information.
