Job Title: Senior Site Manager

Business Unit: Construction (South)

Office Location: Bristol

Site Location: Dorset region

Role Purpose

To oversee site activities, monitor progress, and ensure successful completion in line with company and customer expectations. Develop and maintain good working relationships with customers and other third parties to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Oversee site activities, monitor progress, and take remedial action as needed to protect the company's contractual position.
  2. Ensure effective project close-out and snagging in accordance with customer specifications.
  3. Monitor and inspect work quality to ensure high standards are met and address any issues with sub-contractors and trades.
  4. Maintain accurate site records in line with company and legislative requirements.
  5. Identify potential issues affecting project delivery and take necessary action to remedy the situation or escalate as appropriate.
  6. Safeguard the company's contractual position by ensuring contract terms are understood and adhered to.
  7. Work closely with the commercial team to monitor project finances, identify solutions, and organize activities to deliver improvements.
  8. Manage preliminary costs within budget.
  9. Manage the performance of direct reports and sub-contract labor, ensuring they work safely and efficiently.
  10. Communicate necessary information effectively.
  11. Fulfill responsibilities within the Project Management System.
  12. Ensure HSQE standards, operating processes, company policies, and legislative requirements are understood, implemented, and adhered to at all times.
  13. Take corrective action on any policy breaches to maintain a safe site free of accidents and incidents.
  14. Responsible for public safety when working in a live environment.
  15. Coordinate sub-contractor activities to ensure efficient work completion and oversee performance to ensure work is completed on schedule and to the right standard.

Qualifications

  1. Fully qualified with the 7-point site passport.
  2. HND/HNC in building studies preferred.
  3. CSCS card required.
  4. Full driving license.
