Lincolnshire, United Kingdom Turning Point Full time

Job Overview

An exceptional opportunity exists to become a part of a dynamic partnership focused on delivering comprehensive substance use treatment and recovery services. This initiative is a collaboration among leading organizations dedicated to providing high-quality support to individuals facing substance use challenges.

Our commitment to a 'Recovery First' philosophy is at the core of our operations, ensuring that recovery is visible and integrated throughout our services. Residents will benefit from a localized approach that addresses a variety of issues across the community.

You will have the chance to advance your career through a structured learning journey and well-defined career pathways that align with your strengths and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities

As a vital member of the Senior Leadership Team, you will oversee the psychological services across the region, ensuring that evidence-based practices are implemented effectively. Your role will involve providing clinical guidance, training, and leadership throughout the partnership.

You will leverage your expertise to develop innovative strategies for engaging with individuals using substances, offering practical insights on trauma-informed psychological interventions to colleagues and community organizations. Additionally, you will maintain a manageable caseload of clients with complex needs, conducting specialized psychological assessments and therapies.

You will also contribute to local governance structures, participating in clinical governance meetings and multi-disciplinary case reviews.

Collaboration with partner organizations will be essential to enhance referral pathways and joint service delivery for clients facing both substance use and mental health challenges. You will represent the partnership in strategic meetings, advocating for the needs of the community.

Furthermore, you will play a significant role in shaping the strategic direction of the service, fostering strong professional relationships with other service providers, and utilizing your expertise to establish effective support and educational frameworks. You will explore opportunities for continuous improvement and integrate broader issues such as housing, employment, and financial stability into the treatment process.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with a national team of Clinical, Counselling, and Forensic Psychologists to enhance psychological and psycho-social approaches across services, while pursuing a therapeutic specialization that aligns with service needs. You will also provide clinical supervision and support to other psychological practitioners.

Ideal Candidate Profile

To be considered for this role, you must hold current registration with the Health and Social Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Clinical, Counselling, or Forensic Psychologist, along with a doctorate in your area of expertise and a proven track record in delivering psychological services. Experience in leading and supervising clinical teams, particularly with substance use populations, is highly desirable.

Strong communication skills, adaptability, and a commitment to the Recovery Agenda will be essential for your success in this leadership position.

Previous experience in supervising psychological roles and formal training in supervision techniques will be advantageous.
