About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geriatric Medicine Consultant to join our team at Wrightington Wigan & Leigh Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Ageing and Complex Medicine Directorate, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our elderly patients.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive geriatric medicine services, including acute care, rehabilitation, and palliative care. You will work closely with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans that meet the individual needs of our patients.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Recent comprehensive experience in Geriatric Medicine
  • CCT - Dual accreditation in GIM and Geriatric Medicine
  • Entry on the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT
  • MRCP (or equivalent)
  • Full GMC with licence to practice
  • MB ChB or equivalent
