About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Recruitment Specialist to join our Talent Acquisition Recruitment Team at NHS Blood and Transplant. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in embedding our new TAR model, driving best recruitment equitable practice across the organization.
Main Responsibilities
As a Recruitment Specialist, you will be responsible for leading and managing all end-to-end recruitment activity for designated directorates and/or specialisms. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Providing value-adding recruitment advice to specified directorates, in liaison with People and Culture Partners and Directorate Leadership teams.
- Working closely with the Talent Brand & Attraction team to identify the best route-to-market strategy for hard-to-fill vacancies.
- Tracking progress and assisting Recruitment Business Partners (RBPs) in owning their directorates, while developing strategic plans for recruitment.
- Liaising with other team members to design and deliver appropriate advertising and campaigns for recruiting to roles.
- Establishing and maintaining a talent pipeline for future vacancies and campaigns.
- Maintaining engagement with successful candidates and potential future candidates, which may include some out-of-office hours working.

Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate:
- Knowledge of using social media techniques within the recruitment process.
- Knowledge of recruitment employment law, data protection, diversity, and equality legislation.
- Knowledge of recruitment processes and selection techniques.
- Experience of sourcing, analyzing, and interpreting data and preparing reports/feedback on that data.
- Experience of working in either an agency or an in-house recruitment environment.
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Experience of recruitment, selection, and interviewing.
- Experience of talent management processes and strategies.
- Experience of working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and PowerPoint).
Essential Qualifications
You will need to be educated to degree level or have equivalent relevant experience. You must also demonstrate a commitment to your Continued Professional Development (CPD).
