About the Role

Hays Specialist Recruitment Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Finance Manager to join a rapidly growing international organisation based in the South Yorkshire region. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate financial close across multiple entities in the US and Canada, as well as supporting other geographies.

Main Responsibilities
  • Financial Close and Reporting: Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting for multiple entities.
  • Accounting and Reconciliation: Ensure correct posting and reconciliation of payroll, COGS, and prepayment journals across multiple entities.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide initial presentations of draft P&L, margin, accruals, and balance sheet for each entity.
  • Tax and Compliance: Support and reconcile Sales Tax/GST/VAT submissions and payments.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: Perform other tasks as required to deliver a timely month-end close.
  • Year-End Accounts and Audit: Prepare and support for year-end accounts and audit.
  • Statutory Accounts and Corporation Tax: Input into statutory accounts and corporation tax computations for UK companies as required.
  • Leadership and Integration: Assume local leadership for teams with non-local line management and support the integration and accounting for new acquisitions as required.
Requirements
  • Accountancy Qualification: Possess a relevant accountancy qualification.
  • Advanced MS Excel Skills: Demonstrate advanced MS Excel skills.
  • Proven Experience: Showcase proven experience in accounting, including financial accounts.
  • Communication and Business Acumen: Possess excellent communication skills and business acumen to understand the impact of business change on financial accounts.
