Corporate Financial Planning Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Corporate Financial Planning Manager to join our team at NHS Blood and Transplant. As a key member of our central department, you will be responsible for leading a team responsible for delivering the monthly management accounts. You will collaborate with various stakeholders throughout Finance, including Business Partners, Financial Accounting and Reporting Team, and Head and Senior Corporate Financial Planning Managers, to ensure accurate and timely reporting of the organisation's financials.

Main ResponsibilitiesAs a Corporate Financial Planning Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating, planning, and executing the monthly management accounts process, working with the Head of Financial Planning, Senior Financial Planning Managers, Finance Support Analyst Team Leader, and Business Partners to continuously review and improve these processes.
- Line managing the Finance Support Analyst Team Leader and Finance Support Analysts, leading, developing, and motivating direct reports and regularly undertaking performance reviews.
- Developing and improving the management accounts preparation processes by continually identifying and implementing opportunities for streamlining monthly routine tasks alongside striving for consistency.
- Providing high-level strategic advice, direction, and support to senior managers within NHSBT and externally.
You will be required to travel and spend time away from base, which will involve working irregular hours and overnight stays when required, with prior notice.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate with:
- Proven experience of managing both staff and key business processes within a large, multi-disciplined organisation.
- Extensive experience of financial management and financial modelling within a large, multi-disciplined organisation.
- Experience of supporting the development of business cases utilising investment appraisal techniques.
- Experience of using an integrated financial / general ledger system and of working with costing software tools.
- Integrated financial / general ledger system and advanced user of recognised business software packages.
- Experience of working with information technology using Microsoft Office packages (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, Access, and PowerPoint).
