About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Manager to join our Residential Team in Leicestershire. As a Deputy Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for our service users.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build strong relationships with service users, parents, and carers to promote independence, wellbeing, and social-emotional skills.
  • Work collaboratively with the Registered Manager to lead shifts, conduct staff supervisions, and support with audits and other duties.
  • Contribute to the upkeep of the home, including cooking, cleaning, and maintaining a safe environment.
  • Document information accurately and ensure records are up to date.
  • Ensure safeguarding policies and procedures are adhered to.

Requirements

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification relevant to Residential Childcare.
  • Hold or be willing to work towards the Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care and Children & Young People's services.
  • Have at least 1 year's supervisory and shift leader experience in a Children's Residential setting.
  • Have knowledge and experience of working with OFSTED Regulations and Quality Standards of Children's homes.
  • Have knowledge and experience of recording and reporting to enable safeguarding and protection of children & young people.
