Job Title: Recovery Support Specialist

As a Recovery Support Specialist, you will play a crucial role in assisting individuals on their journey to recovery from substance misuse. Your understanding of the detrimental effects of alcohol and drug use on individuals and communities will be essential in providing compassionate support.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver personalized advice and support to clients, guiding them through their recovery plans.
  • Engage in assessment and case management activities as directed.
  • Provide advocacy for clients, ensuring their voices are heard and their needs are met.
  • Work collaboratively across various settings, including primary care and outreach environments.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with organizational policies.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A qualification in Social Care (NVQ Level 2/3 preferred) or a willingness to obtain this.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A flexible approach to working with diverse populations.
  • A commitment to a client-centered service delivery model.
Working Environment
