Recovery Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Recovery Support Worker to join our team at Aquarius, a leading provider of specialist support services. As a Recovery Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals affected by substance misuse, with a focus on engaging with hard-to-reach female clients within the Sikh community.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advice, support, advocacy, and key work for recovery plans
- Undertake elements of assessment and case management as directed
- Work in partnership with clients, families, and other stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes
- Operate in a way that recognises and values diversity, and understands the functional model of substance misuse, the Recovery Agenda, and the problems caused by alcohol and drug misuse
- Preferably with a NVQ 2/3 in Social Care, or willing to attain this
- Ability to work within policy and procedural requirements, including child protection, vulnerable adults, confidentiality, and health & safety
- Good written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and fulfill data requirements
- Flexible approach, with commitment to taking a client-centered approach to providing services and working in a way that recognises and values diversity
