Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Recovery Worker to join our team at Team Support Healthcare. This full-time position offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of individuals dealing with substance misuse issues within a prison environment. The role requires working closely with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive support and recovery services to inmates.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to individuals experiencing substance misuse issues.
- Develop and implement personalized recovery plans in collaboration with clients and the multidisciplinary team.
- Conduct regular assessments and reviews of client progress, adjusting care plans as needed.
- Deliver evidence-based interventions and support to encourage positive behavioral change.
- Facilitate workshops and educational sessions on substance misuse and recovery strategies.
- Work closely with prison staff and external agencies to ensure coordinated care and support.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions and progress in accordance with legal and organizational standards.
- Contribute to the development of a safe and supportive environment within the prison.
Essential Requirements:
- Substance Misuse Experience: Demonstrable experience working with individuals affected by substance misuse is essential.
- Prison Clearance: Candidates must have current and valid prison clearance to be considered for this role.
Desirable Skills:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and work effectively within a team.
- Knowledge of the criminal justice system and the specific challenges faced by individuals within a prison setting.
- Ability to manage a caseload efficiently while maintaining high standards of care.
