Senior Bridge Engineer

At COWI, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Bridge Engineer to join our team of design experts. As a key member of our infrastructure team, you'll have the opportunity to work on bespoke bridge projects, collaborating with our team to deliver innovative solutions that shape a better tomorrow.

About the Role

As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing, checking, and assessing tasks across a wide range of bridges and complex structures. You'll work closely with clients, mentoring junior staff to ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget, and with a high standard of technical quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Designing and checking tasks for bridges and complex structures
  • Liaising with clients and mentoring junior staff
  • Producing engineering design and details, and undertaking checking or assessment work
  • Preparing analysis models, calculations, and written reports
  • Working with CAD/BIM technicians to prepare design drawings and models
  • Delivering work to a high technical standard, ensuring accuracy through self-checking
  • Visiting sites as required
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need a master's degree in civil or structural engineering, be chartered with the ICE or IStructE, and have proven post-graduate experience in a design environment. You'll also need to demonstrate strong inter-personal skills, the ability to work collaboratively in a diverse team, and good communication skills.
