Senior Bridge Engineer Opportunity

Your Role in Shaping Infrastructure
As a Senior Bridge Engineer, you will be at the forefront of designing and assessing a variety of bridge structures. Your expertise will be crucial in delivering high-quality engineering solutions that enhance connectivity and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conducting design, evaluation, and assessment tasks for new and existing bridge structures.
  • Collaborating with clients and guiding junior engineers to ensure project success within timelines and budgets.
  • Producing detailed engineering designs and performing thorough checks in line with project specifications.
  • Developing analysis models, calculations, and comprehensive reports, while reviewing similar outputs from peers.
  • Working alongside CAD/BIM specialists to create precise 2D and 3D design representations.
  • Upholding high technical standards in your work, with a focus on accuracy and self-review.
  • Conducting site visits as necessary to ensure project alignment.

Your Qualifications:
To thrive in this role, you should possess a collaborative spirit and the ability to foster relationships with colleagues and clients alike. Your commitment to continuous improvement and exploration of new ideas will be key to your success.

You will also need:

  • A master's degree in civil or structural engineering, with chartered status from ICE, IStructE, or a similar body.
  • Significant post-graduate experience in a design capacity, particularly in bridge or heavy civil engineering.
  • Experience in leading and coordinating project teams effectively.
  • Familiarity with UK design standards, Eurocodes, and CDM regulations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a diverse, multi-disciplinary team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • A deep passion for structural engineering and a dedication to achieving technical excellence.
