Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Design Manager to join our client's team in their Leeds office. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the design process from concept to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the design process from concept through to completion, ensuring alignment with project goals and client expectations.
  • Collaborate with architects and other stakeholders to develop and refine design solutions.
  • Prepare and review design documentation, including drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Oversee the selection of materials, finishes, and construction methods to ensure quality and compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate with project managers to integrate design considerations with project timelines and budgets.
  • Identify and mitigate design-related risks and challenges, providing proactive solutions.
  • Maintain effective communication with clients and other project team members to ensure project requirements are met.
  • Monitor and review design progress, making adjustments as necessary to meet project milestones.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Architecture.
  • Proven experience in a fit-out/construction background, specifically with experience in contracting rather than practice.
  • Strong passion for design and ability to lead and manage design teams.
  • Excellent communication and project management skills.
