Job Title: Children's Social Worker

We are seeking a qualified and experienced Children's Social Worker to join our team in Blaenau Gwent. As a key member of our Children's Services team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families in need.

About the Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive team environment. As a Children's Social Worker, you will be responsible for assessing and managing cases, developing and implementing care plans, and working closely with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and manage cases, developing and implementing care plans that meet the needs of children and families
  • Work closely with other professionals, including education, health, and voluntary sector agencies, to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and families
  • Provide high-quality social work services, including home visits, office-based work, and court appearances
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with children, families, and other professionals
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures that promote the well-being and safety of children and families
Requirements:
  • Qualified Social Worker with a relevant degree and registration with Social Care Wales or Social Work England
  • Minimum of 6 months' experience of working in the UK as a registered social worker
  • Enhanced DBS, registered on the update service or be happy to apply for a DBS
  • 3 years' of referencing
  • Driving license with access to a car
