Hiranga Consulting is seeking a highly skilled Naval Architect to join our team as a Marine Engineer. As a key member of our offshore and marine engineering team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise in hydrodynamics, mooring, and subsea solutions.
Our client is a leading independent offshore and marine engineering company, specializing in hydrodynamics, mooring, and subsea solutions. They are looking to expand their team by adding a dedicated Naval Architect / Marine Engineer to support their growth plans.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in hydrodynamic assessments and analysis, with experience in working with offshore floating structures. You will be responsible for providing technical support to the Business Development team, working closely with clients and potential customers to deliver commercial and technical solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct hydrodynamic assessments of floating structures, including ships, floating production storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels, and floating wind turbines.
- Design and analyze mooring systems, subsea umbilical risers, and flow lines.
- Perform offshore transportation and installation analysis, including stability and station-keeping assessments.
- Liaise with a team of draftsmen to deliver requested documentation, including work packages and equipment specifications.
- Provide commercial and technical support to the Business Development team, including client and potential customer interaction.
Requirements:
- Master of Engineering in Naval Architecture, Ship Science, or Offshore Technology.
- 3+ years of professional experience in hydrodynamic assessments and analysis.
- Working knowledge of relevant software, including Hydrostar, Ariane, or OrcaFlex.
- Working knowledge of Python programming language.
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
- Fluent in English (spoken and written). French would be an advantage but is not required.
