About the Role

As a Submarine Naval Architect in our expanding team, you will have the opportunity to work on complex projects across the lifecycle of submarine assets for our UK and international customers. You will be involved in solving engineering challenges through supporting the Naval Architectural aspects of our projects, including:

  • Surveys on submarines to support design changes
  • 3D modelling and naval architectural calculations to support concept design development and design changes
  • Structural analysis using both hand calculations and finite element analysis
  • Stability assessments using the Paramarine Naval Architecture software
  • Hydrodynamic assessments using in-house tools and Computational Fluid Dynamics
  • Engineering assessments to support submarine life extensions
  • Secondments to industry and the UK MOD to broaden your experience

Research and Development Opportunities
