Network Engineering Leadership

The Head of Network Engineering will be responsible for ensuring the company's commercial and internal networks effectively support global business operations, delivering required performance and availability to support service level agreements (SLAs), providing appropriate security and compliance, while minimising costs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintenance, support, and continuous improvement of existing networks
  • Architectural design of new services, including digital transformation to cloud services, and service improvements
  • Establishing and maintaining global capabilities and management of third-party suppliers
  • Building and developing team capability to deliver operational excellence

Support Services:

  • Delivering monitoring, alerting, and reporting
  • Selecting, implementing, and driving value from monitoring tools on different platforms
  • Taking ownership of network problems, performing root cause analysis, and implementing root-cause remediation
  • Maintenance and development of customer-facing and corporate networks and associated security
  • Ownership of global perimeter security, policies, platforms, and regular testing
  • Continually reviewing security threats and proactively mitigating prioritising business risk
  • Evaluating, approving, and updating hardware, software, and firmware to maximise service, support, and security
  • Monitoring, reviewing, and optimising network performance to align cost and service
  • Maximising customer service confidence and support contractual requirements through network service improvement, delivering incident reduction
  • Ensuring capacity, availability, and performance requirements are measured and achieved, delighting customers
