Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust is seeking to recruit two Senior Endocrinology Consultants specializing in Diabetes, Endocrinology, and General Medicine. We are looking for dedicated and proactive professionals to enhance our team.

Our Endocrinology and Diabetes Department is among the largest in the nation, integrating both general and specialized diabetes and endocrinology services, including nationally recognized specialist endocrinology.

The role encompasses general diabetes and endocrinology consultations, youth endocrinology, and diabetes transition, alongside a rotational obligation to general medicine.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidates will:

  • Collaborate in the care of general medical in-patients under the endocrine team.
  • Participate in the acute medical on-call rota.
  • Conduct general diabetes and endocrine consultations, along with additional clinics as outlined in the job plan and service needs.
  • Enhance educational opportunities for trainees through service reorganization and development initiatives.
  • Engage in regular audits and supervise Quality Improvement Projects (QIP) undertaken by trainees.
  • Participate in general management and committee activities within the hospital.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to optimize clinical care and patient outcomes, facilitating safe discharges.
  • Work in partnership with community teams and other stakeholders.

Education and Qualifications
