Key Responsibilities

The Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of installation works for sortation and material handling systems, as well as airport baggage systems. This includes ensuring Health & Safety, Quality, and Progress standards are met.

You will be responsible for planning and coordinating equipment delivery, in line with the project schedule, to ensure timely installation and adherence to quality standards. You will also manage BEUMER Supervisors and approved sub-contractors, ensuring effective communication, site cleanliness, and on-target installation.

  • Project Planning and Coordination: Plan and coordinate equipment delivery, ensuring installation is on schedule and quality standards are met.
  • Progress Reporting: Report progress to the Project/Construction Manager.
  • Site Management: Manage site activities, including lifting and hot works, and assist with work permit preparation.
  • Team Management: Manage and motivate multi-discipline teams (mechanical/electrical) within a construction environment.
  • Documentation and Communication: Facilitate and attend site meetings, produce relevant documentation, and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Material Management: Plan delivery of materials, receipt of materials on site, and storage.
  • RAMS and Quality Assurance: Input and review RAMS, ensuring implementation by installation teams, and maintain a safe and quality-assured working environment.

This role requires extensive travel nationwide (including Ireland) and some international travel. Night work and weekend work may be required as needed.

Requirements
  • Engineering Background: Ideally, an engineering background with a HNC/HND or equivalent.
  • Health & Safety Knowledge: A broad knowledge of Health & Safety and experience in installing material handling systems.
  • Certifications: Relevant CSCS card, SSSTS or SMSTS, First Aid at Work, IPAF, IOSH, or NEBOSH. An Airside security pass is also desirable.
  • Communication and Planning Skills: Effective communication and planning skills, with the ability to understand project schedules and provide accurate progress data.
  • Problem-Solving and Leadership: Strong problem-solving skills and leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and manage teams.
