Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Supply Chain teams/departments, fostering open communication and ensuring they're aware of priorities, targets, and operational requirements.
  • Direct management responsibility for Supply Chain teams within Fleetlands Engines, Portsmouth programmes, International Shipping, and Planning.
  • Provide full governance and support for UK Supply Chain, located across all five UK sites, and offer assistance as needed for other European facilities.
  • Manage staff resources in accordance with business requirements, all within budget and service standards.
  • Offer advice and guidance on security, import/export regulations, logistics, space utilization, transport costs, and more.
  • Plan and execute cycle counting on all stock holdings.
  • Manage inventory levels in line with business requirements and within set AOP budgets.
  • Ensure all Supply Chain policies & procedures are maintained and legally compliant.
  • Collaborate with business units to ensure operational requirements are met to cost, quality, and target dates.
  • Negotiate favourable terms, volume discounts, and long-term contracts with suppliers, and prepare and process requisitions and purchase orders.
  • Review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to organisation policy, discuss defects and delivery problems with suppliers, and negotiate refunds.
  • Monitor purchases on a monthly basis, ensuring compliance with current authorisation requirements.
  • Provide statistical data to senior management as required.
  • Identify Risks and Opportunities and remove any unnecessary expenditure.
  • Develop plans with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of targets, improve supplier performance, and implement continuous improvement plans across spend.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement within the Supply Chain/Logistics department.
  • Perform any further activities in support of the business as required.
  • Adhere to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), and all associated Business Manuals.
  • Negotiate and agree terms and conditions with suppliers, setting up Service Level Agreements (SLAs) or Contracts as necessary, and ensuring compliance through contract life.
  • Ensure implementation and compliance to all StandardAero group and corporate policies, and full reporting of all KPIs/Metrics.
  • Develop, mentor, and train associates within the team to increase understanding, competence, and skills within the Supply Chain function.

Professional Qualifications/Education and Training:

  • Degree educated in Supply Chain Management; and/or
  • CIPS qualified

  • Reporting to Engines SMT Director Engines

Experience:

  • Working within a Supply Chain in an Aerospace MRO environment
  • Good understanding of certification requirements, especially with regards to EASA, CAA, FAA, and Military requirements
  • Knowledge of Cap-Ex Purchasing and Equipment Purchases
  • Proven contract negotiation skills
  • Knowledge and understanding of consumables – relating to both indirect business requirements, and supply of chemicals or other consumables for other direct product requirements
  • Knowledge and understanding of REACH regulations
  • Knowledge and understanding of lean techniques may be advantageous
