Job Title: Dining Room Manager

Job Summary:

The Maine Mayfair is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dining Room Manager to join our team. As a Dining Room Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that our guests receive exceptional service and have a memorable dining experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the dining room staff, including servers, hosts/hostesses, and bussers, to ensure that all guests receive prompt and attentive service.

  • Monitor table assignments, seating, and wait times to ensure that guests are seated in a timely manner.

  • Manage the flow of guests through the dining room, ensuring that all guests are seated and served in a timely manner.

  • Ensure that all guests are satisfied with their dining experience, and address any complaints or concerns in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Work closely with the kitchen staff to ensure that all dishes are prepared and served in a timely manner.

  • Manage the dining room budget, including labor costs, inventory, and supplies.

  • Develop and implement strategies to increase sales and revenue in the dining room.

  • Recruit, train, and develop dining room staff to ensure that they have the skills and knowledge necessary to provide exceptional service.

  • Monitor and maintain the cleanliness and organization of the dining room, including the tables, chairs, and floors.

  • Ensure that all health and safety regulations are followed in the dining room.

Requirements:

  • 2+ years of experience in a dining room management role.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Knowledge of food and beverage service, including wine and spirits.

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in hospitality or related field preferred.
