We are seeking an experienced Agricultural Compliance Specialist to join our team at Pilgrim's Europe. As an Agricultural Compliance Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring that our agricultural sites meet the highest standards of animal welfare and food safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Audit agricultural sites to ensure compliance with legal, industry, and customer standards.
  • Communicate auditing standards with all supply chain units and farmers.
  • Track and analyze farm standards to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement action plans to improve on-farm compliance and business-wide improvements.
  • Manage workload to ensure timely completion of audits across the Chicken, Lamb, and Pig supply chain.
  • Develop and maintain systems to track trends and analysis.
  • Communicate new standards and requirements from welfare bodies, customers, and internal stakeholders to farmers and supply chain units.
  • Drive down non-conformances and close out time.
  • Conduct worker welfare surveys and develop action plans to address any issues.
  • Coordinate and analyze REP surveys on farm and provide feedback.
  • Collect and manage customer data as required.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to influence and elicit change on farm.
  • A professional and courteous manner when interacting with farmers and supply chain units.
  • Good knowledge of the agricultural industry, preferably with experience in the pig and poultry industry.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team and independently.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Enthusiasm and a proactive approach to driving improvements.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Degree or relevant qualification in a related field.
  • Valid driving license.
  • Experience in the meat industry, preferably with a focus on animal welfare and food safety.
