Career Opportunity for Clinical Scientist and Medical Physics Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Scientist and Medical Physics Expert to join our Radiation Protection team at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust.

The successful candidate will provide a radiation safety service to the Trust and other organisations with radiation safety contracts. The role will involve assisting in the provision of comprehensive radiation protection, diagnostic radiology physics, and X-ray services.

The ideal candidate will have a good honours degree in a relevant subject, MSc and PhD in radiation protection or medical physics, and IPEM Certificate of completion of Post-qualification Higher Training or equivalent.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Providing radiation safety services to the Trust and other organisations
  • Assisting in the provision of comprehensive radiation protection, diagnostic radiology physics, and X-ray services
  • Developing processes and procedures to ensure good compliance with relevant legislation

The successful candidate will be required to hold a full driving license and be willing to travel across sites.
