Responsibilities:
  • Ensure all designated areas are clean and sanitized, including offices, washrooms, and common areas.
  • Sweep, mop, and vacuum floors, carpets, and upholstery.
  • Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, shelves, and cabinets.
  • Restock and replenish supplies, such as toilet paper, soap, and paper towels.
  • Follow cleaning schedules and ensure all tasks are completed within the allotted time.
  • Operate and maintain cleaning equipment, such as floor polishers, vacuum cleaners, and pressure washers.
  • Notify management of any maintenance issues or needed repairs.
  • Adhere to all health and safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills in English.
  • Experience as a commercial cleaner or in a similar role (preferable).
  • Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, proper storage, and disposal methods.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and time management skills.
  • Physical ability to lift and move equipment, as well as perform repetitive tasks.
  • Must have reliable transportation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and scrubbing floors.
  • Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, countertops, shelves, and fixtures.
  • Clean and sanitize restrooms, including toilets, sinks, and mirrors.
  • Empty trash bins and replace liners.
  • Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors.
  • Disinfect and sanitize high-touch surfaces, such as door handles, handrails, light switches, and elevator buttons.
  • Follow established protocols for disinfecting surfaces to prevent the spread of germs and viruses, including COVID-19.
  • Restock supplies, such as hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper, and cleaning chemicals.
  • Notify supervisors when supplies are running low to ensure continuous availability.
  • Perform floor care tasks, including sweeping, mopping, buffing, waxing, and polishing floors as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and functionality of cleaning equipment, such as vacuum cleaners, floor scrubbers, and buffers.
  • Report any malfunctioning equipment or safety hazards to supervisors promptly.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations, including proper handling and storage of cleaning chemicals, personal protective equipment (PPE) usage, and safe work practices.

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in commercial cleaning preferred but not required.
  • Knowledge of cleaning techniques, chemicals, and equipment.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
  • Physical stamina and ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays if needed.
